Do crews need to download anything?
No. MedicDex is a progressive web app — crews open a link in any browser. No App Store, no Google Play, no installation. Works on iOS, Android, and desktop equally well.
What if there's no cell signal on scene?
MedicDex caches the entire protocol book locally after the first load. It works 100% offline — protocols, drug calculator, clinical tools, and the arrest manager all function without internet.
How accurate is the AI parsing?
Very accurate for digitally-generated PDFs. Claude AI reads every page and extracts sections, drugs, doses, routes, and contraindications. The admin panel shows you everything before publishing, and a built-in Drug Editor lets you fix anything the parser missed.
Is my department's protocol data secure?
Yes. Data is stored with encryption at rest and in transit. Each department's data is isolated with row-level security — no cross-department data access. Your protocol data is never used to train AI models. See our Privacy Policy for details.
